She then opened Rocky Mountain Veterinary Rehabilitation, one of the first veterinarian owned mobile rehab practices in the greater Metro Denver Area.
Dr. Fein is studying Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at the Chi Institute. She has taken courses in acupuncture and Tui-Na. She is also trained in Reiki for both humans and animals.
She lives with her husband, Dave, their 2 children, and their dog, Maddie. When she isn’t at work, Dr. Fein can be found on the trails or in the mountains.
Nick, Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist
Nick is a Denver native, a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, and a graduate of Bel Rea, with his AS degree. While working in general practice, Nick began studying at The Colorado School for Animal Massage and joined our team. Nick was a bike messenger for the 11 years prior to pursuing his vet tech schooling, and he’s known for his abiding love for the Denver Broncos! He also enjoys motorcycle track racing, Will Ferrell movies, and skiing.
Patients respond well to his grounded and calm demeanor. With skilled hands, Nick offers massage therapy, therapeutic laser, and therapeutic exercises as prescribed by Dr. Fein. He is a valuable asset to our team.
Karen, Office Manager
Even as a little kid, Karen was an animal lover.
Growing up in Minnesota, she spent her summers trying to save the baby robins that fell out of their nests and rescuing baby bunnies from the neighbor's labrador. She has worn many hats in various industries but her heart led her to animal care and training.
Karen keeps us all sane. She is ready to help with anything we need...from scheduling appointments to ordering medications to assisting us, clients, dogs, and cats inside or outside the clinic.
When not helping us out, Karen is busy training her Shetland Sheepdogs, as well as other people, in the sport of agility. And, yes, she is still a Minnesota Viking's fan!
Sheri Mounteer, MPT, CCRT- Physical Therapist
Sheri grew up in Rock Springs, WY and attended the University of Wyoming. After obtaining her degree in Exercise Physiology, she moved to North Dakota to attend grad school successfully completing her Masters in Physical Therapy. She worked as a human physical therapist (mostly in geriatrics) and in management for 23 years. After a surprise layoff in 2018, she decided to combine her love of dogs with her physical therapy background. She began working on her Canine Rehab Certification, which she received in July of 2019.
Sheri's hobbies include volunteering at the Humane Society of the South Platte as well as spoiling her two dogs. She has an 11 year old chocolate lab mix that was once in a Eukanuba commercial and a 2 year old black lab mix that was born with a congenital heart issue and underwent open heart surgery when she was just 6 months old. They are the loves of her life. On the weekends, you can find Sheri at her condo in Winter Park enjoying everything the outdoors has to offer. She loves mountain biking, trail running, camping, skiing and hiking, especially when those things are enjoyed with her friends, family and dogs.
